CARTE POSTALE
Welcome to the world through the eyes of Atelier Septembre. Today is June 30, 2022. The first day of the carte postale, or as we know them in Australia, postcards. These will be little glimpses, captured here and described by me, through the lense I see them through. To begin, I thought I would give a little introduction about myself in the form of a picture. This day was about two months ago, I was visiting my daughter and we were out and about antiquing and browsing all of the gorgeous shops in the “village” of Albert Park in Melbourne. There was a very old school - stopped in a moment in time - style lingerie shop, and this laundromat right next door. Oh, and here I am. What you can’t see is the fabulous shirt I am wearing (hidden under my vintage jacket) is Atelier Septembre, it is the Vermouth shirt, which is a boxy generous fit with a camp collar. It is the slightest shade of pink, the cotton is supremely beautiful to wear and has a lovely handle when you touch it. It’s smooth and crisp in equal measure, a treat to wear. It is a button down front, and has sherbert coloured buttons which are from my inherited collection of button hoarding over decades, and well, I am here for it as the cool kids say!
