Hello Mellow Yellow...

mellow yellow walls flaking paint and chippy plaster. Chandeliers and demijhons lined the walls and floors and baskets overflowing with glorious vintage textiles and the steepest staircase I have ever ascended in my life!

Tower of terror! This staircase is in a century old terrace in Albert Park, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Gorgeous patina on these walls, glorious marigold and duck egg blue cornicing. There was a set of stairs which reached almost the top and then parted to either side of the terrace, to two upstairs tiny bedrooms, which were floor to ceiling marvels, hanging chandeliers, ornaments, artifacts artworks and charming furniture, pieces easily 400 years old. So much history and so much beauty in this building.

These chalky, chippy colours make me gasp! This looks like a perfectly deliberate fresco, but these are the internal walls of a century old terrace in Albert Park, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. There are literally hundreds of uniquely pigmented aitting on the surface, and in every little crack and hallow _ layers built up over a century which make this coulour so incredible , but so delicate. It is almost translucent, a curious masterpiece and a magnificent time capsule.

Baroque cherub, one of a pair. Absoloutely stunning carved timber, flaking white paint to give what was already perfection, an extra serving of incredible.
